winner Martin T. Anderson graduated from the University of
Alaska with an associate’s degree in welding and nondestructive
testing (NDT), and a one-year certificate in welding technology. Anderson
is the owner of Alaska Technical, a nondestructive training center in
Soldotna, Alaska, where he has worked for the past four years. Since
2003, Anderson has been on the Kenai Peninsula School Board, and he
has been a part of the Alaska Workforce Investment Board since 2009.
Anderson is also active in the Alaska Section of ASNT. Anderson is currently
presiding as Section chair, but has also served as Section vice chair
and secretary in past years. In addition, Anderson has been a part of
the Magnetic Flux Leakage Committee, and he joined ASNT’s Certification
Management Council in 2010.

winner Joshua R. Jones completed an associate’s degree
in marine technology and nondestructive testing (NDT) at the College
of Oceaneering (now known as the National Polytechnic College of Science).
Jones currently works as a field manager at Davis Laboratories in Brea,
California, and has previous experience working as an NDT technician
at DV Industries and MGI Inspection, both in California. Jones is the
current chair of the Greater Los Angeles Section of ASNT, having previously
held the positions of treasurer and secretary. He has also held the
title of Master Mason since 2009.
