2009
winner Kimberly S. Ferguson received her B.S. in aerospace
engineering with a minor in NDT from Iowa State University in Ames,
Iowa in May 2010. In 2009, Ferguson worked as an intern for Spirit
Aerosystems in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has worked as a research assistant
at the Wind Simulation and Testing Laboratory and the Center for Nondestructive
Evaluation at Iowa State. She was the 2009/2010 president of Iowa
State’s Wesley Foundation and a member of both the Society of
International Engineers and the American Society of Aeronautics and
Astronautics.
