Philip
D. Johnson Honorary Member Award
ASNT
Fellow Hussein M. Sadek was honored with the Philip D. Johnson
Honorary Member Award at the 2009 ASNT Fall Conference and Quality Testing
Show. Sadek is the president and founder of TCI, Inc., a consulting
company that provides testing services, NDT training, and marketing
and sales of NDT products. A member of ASNT since 1979, Sadek is currently
the regional director of Region 5, which includes the Central Savannah
River Area, Charlotte and Piedmont Sections, as well as the new North
Carolina Student Section. Sadek was the president of ASNT from 1997
to 1998 and is currently a member of the Business and Finance Committee,
the chair of the Electromagnetic Committee, and a member of the Past
Presidents Committee.
Sadek holds an associate’s degree in electrical
engineering from Central Piedmont Community College and a B.S. in computer
engineering from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. He is now
a member of the NDT Advisory Committee at Central Piedmont Community
College, and is the president of NDTMA and a member of AWS. He holds
ACCP Professional Level III certification in MT and ASNT NDT Level III
certification in ET and MT. Sadek is the author of ASNT’s Electromagnetic
Testing Classroom Training Book and the Electromagnetic Testing
Student/Instructor Package.
