winner Nathaniel Richter received his B.S. in aerospace engineering
from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa in 2008. In 2003, Richter enlisted
in the Air Force National Guard, in which he continues to serve. He
is currently a lab assistant at CNDE, where he has been since 2006.
While at Iowa State, Richter worked as a technician in the Wind Simulation
and Testing Laboratory.

winner Joshua R. Jones is a Level II technician in MT, PT, RT and UT
and has IRRSP Level II certification in gamma
radiography (radioactive materials). Jones has worked at Davis Labs
in Brea, California since 2004, where he is the radiation safety officer.
He is an active member of ASNT and is currently the secretary of the
Greater Los Angeles Section and a member of the Technical and Education
Council's Ground Penetrating Radar Committee. Jones studied in the NDT
program at the College of Oceaneering, where he received an associate's
degree in marine technology. He is a member of NDTMA, is involved with
DeMolay, a leadership group for young men, and has taken the steps to
become an entered apprentice in the Masonic Lodge.
