PED Approval for ACCP Certificate Holders

Under the terms of the agreement reached between ASNT and TÜV NORD Systems GmbH & Co. KG ("TÜV NORD") in February 2009, ACCP Level II and III certificate holders that hold currently valid ACCP certificates in the Pressure Equipment (PE) Sector may apply for PED Approval through TÜV NORD, a Recognized Third Party Organization (RTPO) according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23. This applies to the Magnetic Particle (MT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Radiographic (RT) and Ultrasonic (UT) test methods only. The expiration dates of all PED Approvals will match the expiration date of your ACCP certification.

ACCP Level II personnel that hold currently valid ACCP certification in the PE Sector may submit the PED Approval Certification Application to TÜV NORD at the address below. Level II applicants must also sign and submit the ACCP Results Release Authorization form to ASNT so that ASNT may send a copy of the applicant's examination results to TÜV NORD for their files. NOTE: TÜV NORD will NOT approve any Level II without these results.

ACCP Level III personnel personnel applying for initial certification or renewing an existing PED Approval should submit the Level III PED Application. Level III PED renewal at the 5-year interval is based on proof of continuous satisfactory performance which can be attested to by the applicant's employer on the application. No "ACCP Results Release Authorization" form is required for Level III renewal at the first 5-year interval.

At the 10-year interval Level IIIs must submit the "ACCP Results Release Authorization" form to ASNT so that ASNT may send a copy of the applicant's examination results to TÜV NORD for their files. TÜV NORD will NOT approve any Level II without these results.

All personnel, Level II or Level III, wishing to be listed on the ASNT PED Certificate Holders web page should fill out and sign the PED Web List Release form and send it to ASNT as shown at the bottom of the form. This form is required by ASNT in order to post your contact information on our website.
